Our client is a multi billion-dollar Canadian company with an international presence. A guiding principle of their company is to do profitable business with a social purpose.  They are now entering the Agriculture / Agri Food sector and creating products and services to connect the value chain, and help Canada build the most trusted food system in the world.

This new Agriculture division will focus on providing technology products and services to the Agriculture / Agri Food sector. Reporting to the Vice President Agriculture, the new Director, Agriculture Sales and Marketing will hold a pivotal role on the team as this new agricultural division is created and evolves.

As Director, Agriculture Sales and Marketing you will have three main leadership responsibilities: 1) Develop and lead the team that is responsible for direct sales to the agriculture community.  2) Develop and lead the team that is responsible for indirect sales that are done through agents and channel partners, and 3) Direct sales programs that are executed through an inside sales team. In addition, you will be developing the strategic marketing plans and tactics your teams will execute.

To be considered you must be a seasoned professional agricultural sales and marketing executive, with experience applying the fours P’s of marketing within the agricultural sector. You have experience with strategic planning and turning strategies into tactics that your team can execute.  You must have a proven track record of leadership and getting results through managing a high-performance team. An understanding of all the players along the value chain from pasture to plate is a definite asset.  Experience managing P & L is also an asset.
